  1. Oh well there are several ways you can deal with this. You don’t have to do her grounding all on consecutive days. You could lift it long enough for you and Robb to have your date then reinstate it after that. Or you could humiliate her by getting a babysitter who will see to it she doesn’t leave the house. If I chose the former, I’d add a couple days for her snide disrespectful belligerent attitude!

      A babysitter for a 16 year-old? If that were possible, who would want to take the job and how would that be enforced? Good luck with that.

      Maybe so, but Amy just proved that parenting isn’t always perfect and why it’s better to use rational thinking before doling out a reprimand that limits yourself. Besides, as clearly demonstrated here; it’s never good to lose your temper, for either party.
